After two years of serving the Boyle Heights community, PFLAG en Español will be hosting a fundraiser to celebrate the group’s 2nd year anniversary.

The fundraiser “Celebrating Our Families” will be held on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at Mi Centro located at  553 S. Clarence St, 90033 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Tickets for the night are $10 and are available for purchase online. Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the event.

The group hopes to raise money to start a fund to provide aid to youth in need. Money raised will also be used to cover meeting costs, increase their visibility in the community, and create a dedicated phone number for PFLAG en Español.

Food at the fundraiser will include rice, beans, and a variety of taquitos. Aguas frescas will also be provided. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a fast-paced 50/50 raffle.

PFLAG en Español in Boyle Heights is a support group of friends, family, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Members of the group find “support, information, acceptance, and friendship,” according to the PFLAG website.
