Hundreds of residents lined the curbs along 1st Street to catch a glimpse of performers and floats at the 8th Annual Boyle Heights Christmas Parade this weekend.

This year’s grand marshal, muralist and Boyle Heights native Robert Vargas, rode alongside the event’s special guest, East L.A.-born actor Edward James Olmos.

We captured scenes from the parade featuring dance performances, marching bands and holiday-themed lowriders.
