Inglewood residents will have a chance to hear directly from mayoral hopefuls at the upcoming Inglewood Mayoral Candidates Forum on Oct. 7.
Hosted by The LA Local and in partnership with 102.3 KJLH and the Pat Brown Institute, the event offers community members an inside look at each of the candidate’s priorities, vision and proposed solutions for the city. Importantly, residents will get to ask questions about the issues that matter most to them.
Moderated by The LA Local’s youth journalist and editorial team, the forum’s primary questions will be informed directly by input from Inglewood residents.
There will also be an opportunity for audience members to participate in a live, moderated Q&A. Spanish translation will be provided.
The goal: to create a thoughtful, informative conversation that helps residents better understand the candidates’ plans for the city before they cast their votes.
All six candidates were invited, and the following have confirmed so far:

- Gloria D. Gray
- Raina Carrillo
- Joseph Soto
The LA Local is still waiting on confirmation from Mayor James T. Butts about whether he will participate in this forum.
