Amber Roman, Director of Communications and Marketing
My background: I’m joining The LA Local with experience leading strategic communications in the nonprofit sector, spanning causes such as environmental justice, youth organizing, and more. Most recently, I served as Director of Strategic Communications at the Campaign for College Opportunity, where I helped transform statewide narratives and policy for equitable student outcomes.
What I do: In a nutshell, I help make sure The LA Local looks good and makes sense so that people connect with our work.
Why LA: Because LA is home. I want anyone who lives, works, and/or plays here to have access to the information and systems that shape their lives.
