Mallory Carra, Student Journalism Mentor
My background: I moved to LA to earn a master’s degree in screenwriting at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and covered the entertainment industry as a reporter and editor for Bustle. A decade after graduation, I returned to USC to teach at the Annenberg School for Journalism, where my college students cover LA local news.
What I do: I mentor youth journalists as they write Koreatown community stories for The LA Local.
Why LA: The weather, the community, and the food!
