Monica Lozano serves as Board Chair of The LA Local, bringing over 30 years of transformative leadership in media, philanthropy, and business. Formerly the President and CEO of the College Futures Foundation, she also led U.S. Hispanic Media Inc. and was Publisher and CEO of La Opinión, the nation’s leading Spanish-language daily newspaper. Her deep expertise in serving diverse audiences is matched by her extensive corporate and non-profit governance experience. A lifelong champion of equitable access to information and education, Monica’s leadership is key in guiding The LA Local’s mission to build a trusted, community-centered news ecosystem for Los Angeles.
