Nick Ducassi, Social Media Producer, Koreatown, Pico Union, Westlake
My background: I’m a Miami-bred trilingual (English/Spanish/Spanglish) creative producer, director and writer with 15 years of experience creating digital, short-form and branded content for The L.A. Times, Netflix, The Hollywood Reporter, HBO, and more. I hold a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University.
What I do: I lead social storytelling for The LA Local’s Koreatown, Pico-Union, Westlake and Central accounts, transforming neighborhood reporting into engaging videos, graphics and platform-specific posts. I report from the community, appear on camera, develop recurring series, cultivate local sources and partnerships, and engage directly with audiences to ensure our coverage reflects the voices and needs of the neighborhoods we serve.
Why LA: Having been born and raised in the Miami heat, I was looking for a hot new home that would provide it all—and I found it in LA. With fascinating, ambitious people, mouthwatering food, a flourishing arts scene, epic mountains, the ocean, the desert and everything in between, I couldn’t ask for a grander buffet of everything life has to offer.
