L.A. City Council candidates Kevin de León and Ysabel Jurado addressed District 14’s most pressing issues Wednesday evening at a forum in Boyle Heights.

The forum, hosted by nonprofits Boyle Heights Beat and Proyecto Pastoral, drew more than 300 people who packed the pews inside Dolores Mission Catholic Church and sat outside to watch a livestream in the patio.

The forum was originally scheduled for Oct. 5 but was postponed after Jurado tested positive for COVID-19.
