It was a family affair. Across Los Angeles County, voters brought their sons, granddaughters and mothers to voting centers. One voter even brought his dog, Ace. Some arrived with ballots in hand. Others filled them out at voting machines. But everyone left with one thing in common: an “I Voted” sticker.

Steve Saldivar, Multimedia Director (he/him) 

My Background: I worked at the Los Angeles Times as video journalist. Prior to that, I was the social media coordinator at The Getty. 

What I do: I produce video and photography for The LA Local. I help shape the visual identity of The LA Local across all our platforms.  

Why LA: I was born in East LA to immigrant parents. Seeing reporting that accurately reflect our community drives me to document our stories, particularly those that show our tradition and culture.
