
A young man was shot and killed Monday morning in Boyle Heights in a possible gang-related attack, according to Los Angeles Police.
At about 10a.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call after a shot was fired near the area of Lanfranco and Indiana streets.
Witnesses state a 19-year-old man fired the single shot that killed the victim, a man believed to be in his early 20s, according to officials.
The victim, who remains unidentified, was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries at 1p.m., said LAPD.
The area near the shooting was off-limits as officers looked for clues.
Police continue to look for the suspect in this ongoing investigation.
