Thousands took to the streets of L.A. Sunday to experience the city of angels through a car-free lens in CicLAvia’s 56th event.

The event opens up 7.5 miles in the “Heart of L.A.” for pedestrians, cyclists and skaters to enjoy safely in an environmentally-friendly way.

The route includes the communities of Chinatown, Echo Park, Little Tokyo, the Arts District and Boyle Heights and is based on CicLAvia’s first event on 10/10/10 when around 100,000 took to the streets to explore these city neighborhoods.

If you missed out this time around, you can still catch CicLAvia one more time before the year ends on Sunday, Dec. 8 in the San Fernando Valley. That route includes a five-mile route on Sherman Way through Reseda, Winnetka and Canoga Park. You can learn more at https://www.ciclavia.org/ciclavia_the_valley_24.
