Veterans will be honored in East L.A. this weekend ahead of the national holiday celebrating active and former U.S. service members on Monday, Nov. 11.
The 4th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Resource Fair will take place Saturday at Eugene A. Obregón Park in collaboration with the office of L.A. County Supervisor Hilda Solis.
The free community event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a dedicated pinning ceremony starting at 11 a.m. Various resources will be available, including a free laptop distribution for veterans in attendance and free tickets to a L.A. Rams football game hosted by the Dept. of Military Veterans Affair.
Complimentary meals will be provided by Northgate Market, and there will be various activities for families to enjoy, including a kids play area. The event is free and open to the public.
