The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Pico Union late last year.
The driver hit the pedestrian around 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2025, near Venice Boulevard and Malvern Avenue, according to the LAPD. The driver was traveling east in a silver 2008 to 2010 Chrysler 300 four-door sedan when he hit the pedestrian.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as 60-year-old Jorge Paz Molina. The office said he died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.
Police said the driver did not stop to help, a violation of California vehicle code. Paramedics arrived on the scene and said the pedestrian died on the scene, according to The Los Angeles Fire Department .
The driver is described as a man between 50 and 60 years old. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and glasses, according to surveillance video the LAPD released on Friday.
In the footage, the driver can be seen at a business before getting into his car. Authorities said the vehicle appears to have a broken fog light on the driver’s side and a darker shade of paint on the driver’s side door.
Officials are also offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the suspect being identified, apprehended and convicted.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact investigator David Chung at 213-486-0760 or by email at 34458@lapd.online.
