Authorities reported this week that a homicide occurred on the Eastside on November 27.
According to a statement by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on the 140 block of South Gage Avenue in Unincorporated East Los Angeles at around 7:40 pm.
The victim, identified only as an adult male, was found injured from a shooting that has just occurred at the site and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was later identified by the LA Coroner’s Office as 23-year-old Yair Adrian Cruz. No additional information on a possible suspect is currently available.
