Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body in Boyle Heights last week as a possible homicide, authorities said. 

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers responded to the 900 block of South Concord Street at around 7:20 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 following the report of a dead body in the area, according to a spokesperson from the LAPD. 

The body of a woman was discovered at the location, and LAPD detectives were called to investigate. The case is currently being investigated as a possible homicide, the spokesperson said.

Neighbors in the area were asked to share security camera footage with police. It is unclear whether the victim died at the scene or if her body was dumped. 

No additional information on the incident was available at the time of this report.
