¡Hola Boyle Heights! It’s Alex back to share the latest happening in our neighborhood.
News por y para la comunidad

One of the most beautiful things about the Eastside is the way people show up for each other.
A shining example? Eastside Café in El Sereno — a grassroots, community-run space that’s been fueling cultural arts, education and resistance since 2002.
A week after devastating fires left L.A. in shock and despair, the collective transformed into a pop-up relief hub, distributing water, diapers and other essential supplies for neighbors in need. Read more about its powerful legacy and how it’s stepping up for the community.
Other stories you should know about:
- Boyle Heights has seen an increase in severe injuries from collisions.
- The IRS has agreed to share undocumented taxpayer data with immigration authorities.
- Here’s what Eastsiders have to say about the Dodgers’ recent visit to the White House.
Now, on to this weekend’s lineup of events! From community markets and art workshops to late-night shows, there’s something for everyone happening in and around the neighborhood.
