¡Hola Boyle Heights! It’s Alex back to share the latest happening in our neighborhood.
News por y para la comunidad

When several men resembling federal agents were spotted walking through the Mariachi Plaza Metro station, word spread quickly and Boyle Heights didn’t stay quiet. Local activist groups including the Boyle Heights Immigrant Rights Network, Centro CSO, Union del Barrio and the Community Self-Defense Coalition sprang into action.
Metro later confirmed that the men were from the Transportation Security Administration, not Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But the swift response from local organizations is a powerful reminder of this community’s vigilance and organizing power.
