A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a woman at an apartment complex in Boyle Heights.
Officers received a report of a person down on the 100 block of Cummings Street near 1st Street at around 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Upon arrival, officers found the victim, described only as a female Hispanic in her 70s. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A cause of death is not yet known, police said.
The incident is being investigated as a possible homicide, though no suspect information was available at the time of this report. LAPD Central Bureau Homicide is handling the investigation.
