A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Boyle Heights, according to a spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The victim, described as a 22-year-old Hispanic, was walking on the 500 block of North Evergreen Avenue at around 12:35 a.m. at the time of the incident.

Two suspects, described only as Hispanic males, drove by and fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking and killing him, before driving away. It is unclear if the incident was gang-related, the spokesperson said.

This is the second fatal shooting in Boyle Heights this summer. On Aug. 3, 19-year-old Alonzo Reyes was shot and killed on the 3000 block of Wabash Avenue.
