Authorities have identified two people who were struck and killed by trains in separate incidents in Boyle Heights. 

On Sunday, a person was found dead after being struck by a Union Pacific train near the 3200 block of E. Union Pacific Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The victim was identified as Jay Coller, 36, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said.

The incident followed a similar collision just three days before. On Thursday Feb. 20 a Metrolink train collided with a pedestrian near 742 N. Mission Road. According to the Medical Examiner, the victim was identified as Victoria Aldrete, a 32-year-old Latina.
